Sunil Agnihotri, from Centreville, Virginia, is a senior pursuing a degree in Accounting and Information Systems. He plans on getting a CPA license after completing his education. He is primarily interested in working in fields such as corporate tax and IT audit. You can find him regularly at Accounting Society meetings. He is also a huge Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan and loves to be outdoors or lifting weights. He is very thankful to the Pamplin Leadership Academy for providing him the opportunity to improve his leadership skills and make him a more well rounded individual.
Alexandria (Allie) Ahwee-Marrah is a Sophomore from Fredericksburg, Virginia. She is pursuing a degree in Accounting and Information Systems and plans to double major in Business Information Technology. She’s also studying take the CPA exams after graduating in May 2021. In her free time, she enjoys participating in the marching band color guard, making crafts, and working on community service projects and live up to the Virginia Tech motto of “Ut Prosim.” Not only does Alexandria strive for excellence in her school work, but she also maintains a job at the D2 Dining Hall.
Karl Bandlow, a sophomore at Virginia Tech, is from Doylestown, PA and pursuing a degree in Accounting with minors in Professional Sales and Digital Marketing. Karl is also an Eagle Scout and owner of a small business, JKB Scout Cleaning, where he hires fellow scouts on the trail to Eagle. During his Freshman year, Karl participated in Deloitte’s E3 program. He is an active member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and helped his Fraternity raise over $200,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Karl enjoys spending his free time being active outdoors and is a massive Chelsea FC supporter.
Janay Bingham, from Centreville, Virginia, is a senior focused on the study of Accounting and Finance. In addition to obtaining her undergraduate degree from the Pamplin School of Business, she also plans to stay a fifth year and graduate with a Masters of Accounting Information Systems. Janay also plans sit for the Certified Public Accounting Exam. Outside of academics, Janay enjoys spending time with her family as her younger sister, Jordyn, also attends Virginia Tech. She appreciates the privilege of having her parents come visit throughout the semester.
Timothy Cosby Jr (TJ), from Richmond, Virginia, is a Junior pursing a dual degree in Finance: Certification Education (Financial Planning) and Management: Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Technology Management. After graduation, TJ plans to take the CPA exam and pursue a career in the field of financial planning. He currently participates in various organizations including: Logistics Committee of the Pamplin Multicultural Diversity Council, VT University Innovation Fellows, iScholars program, and many more. He understands the importance of leadership, networking, and professional development and saw the Pamplin Leadership Academy as a great opportunity to acquire those skills. He also contributes to the Virginia Tech community by volunteering in the annual Big Event. Outside
Caroline Cox, from Richmond, Virginia, is a senior pursuing a degree in Marketing Management at her dream school, Virginia Tech. She has served two consecutive terms on the Virginia Tech Panhellenic Executive Board as Vice President of Outreach bringing together her passion for working with people and service. Caroline works part time at the Carol M. Newman Library for the Interlibrary Loan Department. Her hobbies include painting, graphic design, and rereading the Harry Potter series over and over again.
Ashley Cruz is a first-generation student from Woodbridge, Virginia. She is a Sophomore pursuing a dual degree in Business Information Technology and Management at Virginia Tech. Ashley actively participates in L.A.S.O (Latin American Student Association) as the Public Relations Chair by designing graphic content, communicating with campus media sources. She also assists with other positions when necessary such as being the photographer for L.A.S.O events. She is also involved in the Association of Latino Professionals for America as secretary. In her free time, Ashley enjoys discovering places she has never been to and she also loves taking pictures.
I am Matthew Dasher, a sophomore business student, studying Business Information Technology. When I graduate, I want to work abroad in East Asia. Everyday, I try to live by the motto: “Get comfortable being uncomfortable”. Here on campus, I make delicious cheesesteaks at Owens, participate in Club Water Polo, and play football and basketball with my friends. At home, I am an Eagle Scout, a swim instructor, and a chicken server. I am excited for the opportunities accessible to me through the Pamplin Leadership Academy.
Ashley Fleming is a junior who is double majoring in Accounting and Finance. She is originally from Fairfax, VA and enjoys running, traveling, and giving back to her community! On campus, she is part of a business fraternity, Pi Sigma Epsilon, and enjoys playing intramurals. She looks forward to joining Pamplin Leadership Academy and is excited to improve her leadership skills!
Charlie Hyman, from Haymarket, VA is a sophomore pursuing a dual degree in Business Information Technology and Management Consulting & Analysis. Charlie is an active member on campus where he’s involved in the Ischolars program and serves as the Recruitment Chair of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. Outside of school, his interests include traveling, spending time with family and friends and listening to music. He saw the Pamplin Leadership Academy as a great way to further develop his leadership skills and is excited to be a part of the program.
Daniel Kim, from Herndon, VA, is a junior pursuing a degree in Accounting and Information Systems. He is planning to obtain a Masters of Accountancy at Virginia Tech. Daniel intends to sit for the CPA exam after he graduates. He sees the Pamplin Leadership Academy as a great opportunity to gain the leadership skills and business intangibles necessary for the professional world. Daniel is passionate about helping the community and fulfilling Virginia Tech’s “Ut Prosim”. Outside of school, Daniel enjoys playing intramural sports and hanging out with friends.
Molly Langsdorf, who will be a sophomore in the fall of 2018, is from Robbinsville, New Jersey. She is currently in the University Studies program but plans on joining the Pamplin School of Business next semester. She aims to graduate from Virginia Tech with a major in Business Information Technology or Management Consulting & Analysis. Molly is also currently a member of The Contemporary Dance Ensemble here at Virginia Tech.
Jordan Miers is a sophomore studying Business Information Technology and Human Resources Management. She served as the Student Director of Recruitment and Outreach for the entrepreneurial living-learning community on campus, Innovate. She was also an entrepreneur-in-residence ambassador for Innovate and a student mentor. She’s also a member of CWIB, NSCS, and the Honors college and recently joined Virginia Tech’s premier all female a cappella group, Soulstice. Last year, she served abroad in Belize with other Pamplin students and she traveled to Hong Kong with Architecture school this spring. This summer, she will be interning at Olympus in Human Resources Information Systems.
Ryan Napper, from Bristow, VA is a sophomore pursuing a degree in Business Information Technology with a concentration in Operations and Supply Chain Management. He is currently a member of the BIT Club here at Tech and enjoys being actively involved in Pamplin. After graduation, he hopes to work in the field of data analytics and consulting. Business leadership is something Ryan highly values as he looks forward to being a part of the program.
Mary O’Malley, from Scituate, Massachusetts, is a sophomore majoring in Accounting and Information Systems. She enjoys being apart of the Relay for Life committee as well as being an active member in Sigma Kappa Sorority. Mary is very involved with the blacksburg community and loves spending her time participating in Virginia Tech events, as well as staying active. By the end of her four years she hopes to sit for her CPA and further her career in the field of Accounting.
My name is Thomas Rios and I am from Virginia Beach, VA. I am currently a sophomore at
Virginia Tech majoring in Finance and Business Information Technology and my career aspirations include working in the financial services industry. In my free time, I enjoy being active by weightlifting, running, swimming, and playing basketball at McComas.
Nathaniel Rupert, from Fairfax Virginia, is a sophomore pursuing a double major in Finance (CFA) and Economics, as well as minors in Music and Sociology. Throughout his time at Virginia Tech he has participated in many clubs and organizations including Commodity Investing By Students (COINS), Finance Club, and Entrepreneur Club. Nathaniel was accepted to the London School of Economics and Political Science where he will be studying Analysis and Management of Financial Risk this summer. His interests include Music, Weightlifting, Sports, and Investing. Nathaniel hopes to find employment as an Investment Banker when he graduates in 2021.
Rebecca Theimer, from Fincastle, VA is pursuing a degree in Accounting. Her involvement includes serving as Vice President of Human Resources in Pi Sigma Epsilon, a professional marketing and sales fraternity. She has also participated in the Pamplin Undergraduate Mentor Program her first two years of college as both a mentee and a mentor to incoming students. One of her favorite things to do is spend time with family and friends and watch Virginia Tech football games. She is very excited to learn what it takes to become a more impactful leader under the guidance of the Pamplin Leadership Academy.
Marissa Vahlkamp, from Ashburn, Virginia, is a junior majoring in Accounting and Information Systems with a concentration in Audit. She plans on staying at Virginia Tech to pursue her Masters degree and obtain her CPA license. Marissa is the Vice President of Programming for her business fraternity Beta Alpha Psi; the accounting honor’s organization on campus. After college she plans on working in public accounting. Outside of academics, she enjoys spending her time hiking with friends and dancing.
Jennifer Wendt, from Lorton, Virginia, is a senior pursuing a degree in Management with Human Resources concentration and a minor in Advanced Business French. During her time at Virginia Tech, Jennifer served as Membership Chair of Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE) Marketing and Sales Fraternity, volunteered with Teach for Madame (TMF) in honor of Professor Jocelyne Couture-Nowak, and studied abroad with VT’s Business and Culture in France program. Jennifer plans to continue to combine her interests in human resources and international organizations upon graduation from VT in 2019.
Robert White is originally from West Point, Virginia. He enjoys anything music related (especially going to live concerts), including playing the piano on his free time. He also enjoys watching movies and hanging out with friends and family. He is currently a Junior studying Accounting and Information Systems at the Pamplin College of Business.
Marlena Zaleski, from Gilbertsville, PA, is a senior majoring in Accounting and Information Systems. She will participate in Virginia Tech’s Masters of Accounting and Information Systems program after completing her undergrad, and plans to sit for the CPA exam after graduation. Looking for more ways to get involved in Pamplin, she sees the Pamplin Leadership Academy as a great way to do this and to improve upon her leadership skills. Outside of her schoolwork, Marlena enjoys spending time with friends and family, and walking dogs at a local animal shelter.

Genna Coan, from Herndon, VA, is a sophomore pursuing a degree in Accounting and Information Systems with plans to take the CPA exam after graduation. Genna is passionate about giving back to her community and living out Virginia Tech’s motto Ut Prosim. She participates in The Big Event, Relay for Life, and volunteers with the local Habitat for Humanity. Genna also likes to stay active, playing intramural soccer and running in her free time. She is training to run the Marine Corps Marathon in October 2017.
Bella is a senior majoring in Accounting in the Pamplin College of Business. She intends to pursue her Master of Accounting at Virginia Tech through KPMG’s Master of Accounting with Data and Analytics program. She is involved in various organizations throughout her college career serving as a Pamplin Ambassador, KPMG Campus Ambassador, and treasurer for PERMIAS – VT’s Indonesian Society. She has a strong passion for social responsibility and youth education which has led her to create Bella’s Backpacks, a personal project that strives to send backpacks full of school supplies to underrepresented elementary school students. Outside of school and service, Bella’s favorite things to do are to cheer for the Carolina Panthers, practice yoga, and eat brunch.
Isabel Galante, from Blacksburg, VA, will be a sophomore Accounting and History double major. She has been a Hokie for a long time now and really enjoys working with others from different backgrounds. With an interest in communication and problem solving, she is looking forward to improving her leadership skills by being a part of the Pamplin Leadership Academy.
Rehan Ghani is a Junior studying Finance and BIT. He is from Centreville, Virginia. Rehan is a firm believer in experiential learning, and saw The Pamplin Leadership Academy as a great opportunity to further his knowledge in leadership and business through application of the skills he has learned in the classroom thus far. On campus, Rehan is a technology analyst in The Student-Managed Endowment for Educational Development (SEED), as well as Logistics Chair in the Pamplin Multicultural Diversity Council (PMDC).
Katie McClintock, from Fairfax, VA is a sophomore majoring in Business Information Technology with a concentration in Operations and Supply Chain Management. Her involvement includes being a member of Collegiate Women in Business. She is also involved with New Student Programs as a Hokie Camp leader, and is passionate about teaching new Hokies what Virginia Tech is all about. She participated in The Big Event, Relay for Life, and loves service and trying new things. Business leadership is something she hopes to learn more about and is excited to be a part of the program.
Daiana Merida, from Annandale, VA is double majoring in Business Economics and International Studies. Originally from Argentina, Daiana enjoys learning about other cultures and their languages as well. In her spare time, Daiana loves running, painting. hiking and giving back to her community. In the near future, Daiana hopes to help developing countries around the world socially and economically. Under Pamplin’s Leadership Academy, she is determined to improve her leadership skills in order reach this goal.
