My name is Elisha Ahn and I’m from Chantilly, Virginia. I am double majoring in Accounting and Information System and Management Consulting and Analysis with a minor in Strategic Communications. I am the Vice President of Community Service in my business fraternity, Beta Alpha Psi, on the committee chair as the finance secretary for Dance Marathon, and a member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship (CCF). After college, I plan on sitting for my CPA and working in public accounting field of audit. In my free time, I enjoy playing sports such as flag football and volleyball, running and just chilling with friends.
Megan Arata is a Sophomore Accounting major from Woodbridge, Va. Here at Tech she
participates in a number of activities from Omega Phi Alpha service sorority to intramural
sports. She loves staying active and trying new things and is very excited to be participating in the Pamplin Leadership Academy.
I am Austin Askew from Forest, VA. I am a sophomore studying Business Information Technology with a concentration in Operations and Supply Chain Management. I am currently a member of the Corps of Cadets and Army ROTC. I am also involved in Class office. I am looking forward to being a part of the Academy to prepare myself to be an effective leader in the future.
Brandon Bolino, a rising sophomore from Richmond, Virginia is currently pursuing a dual degree in Business Information Technology and Management Consulting & Analysis. Brandon has already had the chance to put some of his new business school learnings into practice, participating in the Deloitte Consulting competition this spring (where his team was runner-up) and the Booz Allen Hamilton Datafest. Brandon sees these events, along with the Pamplin Leadership Academy, as an excellent opportunity to gain the skills required for success in the professional world. Outside of school, Brandon enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.
Danielle Booth, from Wirtz, Virginia, is a senior majoring in Accounting and Information Systems. After graduating in December, she will be pursuing her Master of Accounting at Virginia Tech under the 152-hour accelerated program with a specification in taxation
and plans to sit for the CPA exam after graduating. On campus, Danielle is involved in the Baptist Collegiate Ministry, Collegiate Women in Business, and CHAARG at Virginia Tech. In her spare time, she enjoys running, tennis, playing intramural sports and photography. She is also the founder of the Twitter page Dogs @ VT. Danielle looks forward to developing her leadership, communication, problem solving skills as a member of the Pamplin Leadership Academy.
James Compton is pursuing a double major in both Finance and Accounting. He will be entering his junior year in the Fall of 2019 semester. Originally from Abingdon, VA he has become extremely involved since arriving on Virginia Tech’s campus. He is an active member of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity and recently obtained membership in SEED (Student-Managed Endowment for Educational Development). In his free time he enjoys the outdoors participating in activities such as hunting and fishing. James saw the Pamplin Leadership Academy as a great way to be introduced to hands on leadership training, in order to prepare him for future opportunities..
Matt Kaufman, from Westfield, NJ is a sophomore pursuing a dual degree in Finance and Business Information Technology. Matt is an active member in Center Club where he serves as the Formals chairman. Additionally, he is a Sigma Chi alumni. Outside of school, his interests include sports, spending time with his friends and family, and hanging at the beach. He is also a huge supporter of the New York Giants.
Leah Lilley, a senior from Bridgewater, Virginia, is pursuing a degree in Accounting and Information Systems. After her four years here at Virginia Tech, she plans on going on to get her master’s degree and then sitting for the CPA. She is passionate about all things Virginia Tech, whether that be sporting events or events to give back around campus. Trying new things, being involved, and staying active are very important to her, so she can’t wait to see what opportunities this brings her. Outside of school, she loves to spend time with her friends and family and going on new adventures.
Tina Malhotra is a rising senior from Alexandria, VA pursuing a dual degree in Business Information Technology (concentration in Operations and Supply Chain Management) and Hospitality and Tourism Management, with a minor in Theatre Arts. Tina’s dream job would be anything that allows her to utilize her skills and talents from these three academic areas while serving others. Besides academics, Tina remains engaged in the Virginia Tech community through involvement in the Hospitality Management Association, the Honors College Student Council, the National Residence Hall Honorary, Pamplin Ambassadors, and New Student and Family Programs as a Welcome Week Leader. In her free time, Tina loves exploring Blacksburg, reading, baking, and re-watching Friends and The Office on Netflix.
Shireen Manna is a junior from Chantilly, Virginia. She is majoring in Business
Information Technology with a concentration in decision support systems. Shireen is actively involved around campus and enjoys educating people about different cultures in order to deepen their cultural awareness and sensitivity. She is a member of Beta Alpha Psi and is also a Pamplin International Ambassador. She enjoys helping other students explore study abroad programs as she has an extensive amount of international experience. Shireen is excited about joining the Pamplin Leadership Academy and hopes to have a prospect of leadership alongside her peers.
Sydney McCain is a sophomore from Richmond, Virginia pursuing a degree in Economics
with a concentration in Business. She holds various leadership positions in organizations
on campus including: President of Black Student Alliance Executive Board, Trek Committee member of Collegiate Women in Business, and an active member of the Theta Phi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Outside of academics, Sydney enjoys volunteering, traveling, and socializing with friends and family. Through the Pamplin Leadership Academy, Sydney hopes to gain valuable leadership and professional development skills that she can utilize that will allow her to be an effective leader in her community and workplace.
David Meadors Jr. (Causey) is a rising senior from Suffolk, VA and is pursuing a double major in Accounting and Information Systems and Business Information Technology. Upon graduation, he plans to study and take the CPA exam and pursue tax in public accounting with a focus on data analytics. Causey is the Chief Financial Officer of the international business fraternity Sigma Omega Upsilon, and in his spare time he enjoys reading, journaling and drawing. Causey looks forward to the Pamplin Leadership Academy for a new challenge to take with him looking ahead to his career.
Eldridge Motley, from Gloucester Virginia, is a senior at Virginia Tech. Eldridge finished a bachelor’s in accounting in just three years and plans to return for his fourth year and become a double major pursuing a degree in finance. After graduation, he plans to sit for the CPA exam and pursue a career in public accounting. Outside of academics, he is a member of the Bass Fishing Team at Virginia Tech and is a huge sports fan. He is excited by the opportunity to join the Pamplin Leadership Academy and looks forward to building valuable leadership skills for his career after graduation in Spring 2020.
Devyn Mullins is Junior from Roanoke, Virginia. He is pursuing a degree in Accounting and Information Systems while pursuing a second degree is Business IT. He plans on earning his CPA and starting a career in audit. After gaining experience, he plans to teach accounting to other students pursuing degrees in accounting. Devyn enjoys playing guitar, banjo, and spending time outdoors in his free time.
Griffin Ngai, from Basking Ridge, New Jersey, is a sophomore at Virginia Tech pursuing a degree in Business Information Technology with a concentration in Operations and Supply Chain Management. He is an active member of the Finance Club and Center Club, in which he serves as Philanthropy Chairman. In addition, Griffin is a Lyreman of Alpha Chi Omega. In his free time, he enjoys playing intramural sports with his friends, watching movies, and eating Mac and Cheese.
Dayana Obeldobel, a senior from Manassas, Virginia, is double majoring in Corporate Finance and Human Resources, with a minor in Leadership and Social Change. She is involved in two campus organizations focused around female empowerment; one in the Finance world and the other concentrating on female fitness. In her free time, Dayana enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as exploring the Blacksburg community.”
Kevin Park is a first-generation student from Fairfax, Virginia. He is a sophomore who is
pursuing a degree in Finance at Virginia Tech. He enjoys weightlifting, traveling, hiking, and
listening to music. He is also involved in the Pamplin Undergraduate Mentoring Program
(Pump). Kevin is excited to learn about what it takes to become an effective leader through the Pamplin Leadership Academy.
Drew Robertson-Gouge, a senior from Pulaski, VA, is studying to earn two degrees in Accounting & Information Systems and Mathematics. Upon graduation, he is planning to attend law school in the hopes of one day becoming a tax lawyer. He has had an amazing experience being a member of The Marching Virginians for the past four years and will be serving as the Executive Officer for this season. Drew also works part-time at the Math Emporium as a tutor and part-time at the local non-profit VT Starbucks. In his free time, Drew likes spending time with his friends, cooking, and watching movies.
Alexandra Schmitz, from Vienna, VA, is a sophomore Finance and Accounting double major. She plans to take the CFP and CPA exams after she graduates in 2022. At Virginia Tech she is involved in her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi, Pamplin Peer Advisors and the Honors College. In her free time, she enjoys running, hanging out with friends, and cheering on Virginia Tech sports. Alexandra is very excited to be part of the Pamplin Leadership Academy to enhance her leadership skills.
Madison Souders, from Leesburg, Virginia, is a junior pursuing a degree in Accounting Information Systems at Virginia Tech. Her future plans consist of pursuing a Masters in Accounting in preparation for the CPA exam, and attending law school. She was appointed Treasurer of Future Business Leaders of America, Blacksburg chapter. Madison is described as a big-picture thinker, innovative problem solver, with a gritty work ethic. Madison has hands-on work experience with some of the largest food service and clothing retail companies, where she had the opportunity to deliver remarkable customer experiences. In her free time, Madison enjoys volunteering in her community and relaxing at the beach.
Will Steffe, a native of Roanoke, Virginia, is a non-traditional student pursuing the Masters of Accounting and Information Systems degree. Upon graduating, Will plans to sit for the CPA exam. He is an active member at South Roanoke United Methodist Church where he serves as church treasurer and the District Steward on the finance committee. Outside of his academic pursuits, Will enjoys spending time with family and friends and his beloved beagle, Nelson, collecting baseball cards, and cheering on the Baltimore Orioles. He is honored to be a cohort in the Pamplin Leadership Academy and is excited to get plugged in at Virginia Tech and enhance his leadership skills.
Tyler Stein, from Abingdon, Virginia, is a sophomore who is pursuing a degree in Accounting and Information Systems. In addition to earning his undergraduate degree from the Pamplin College of Business, he would like to stay for a fifth year in order to earn his Master of Accounting and Information Systems degree. He plans to sit for the CPA exam as well. Tyler is a member of the Gamma Beta Phi Society and the Virginia Tech Honors College. In his spare time, he enjoys being with friends and exploring nature.
Jess Su, from Vienna, Virginia, is a junior pursuing a degree in Business Information Technology with a concentration in Decision Support System. During her time at Virginia Tech, Jess has started her company with friends from computer science and business majors. After completing multiple projects from different internships, she is looking to pursue her career in technology or consulting firms because she enjoys solving challenging problems and implementing business solutions.
I am Do-Yoon Sung, a sophomore business student from Mclean, VA. I will be studying either Business Information Technology or Finance with minoring in Actuarial Science. I was born in Seoul, South Korea and am fluent in Korean. I try to stay optimistic as much as possible, and I live by the motto “get comfortable with being uncomfortable” since that is when the growth happens. I play intramural soccer and I enjoy snowboarding. I am more than excited to be a part of this program and be a better leader.
Elizabeth Sweeney is a senior from Wytheville, Virginia. She is majoring in Marketing
Management with a minor in Entrepreneurship New Venture Growth. Elizabeth is a legacy
student at Virginia Tech. She currently serves as VP of Mentorship in CWIB and is a core
leader at CCVT. After graduation, Elizabeth plans on going into Pharmaceutical Sales.
Under Pamplin’s Leadership Academy, she is determined to improve her leadership skills
to help her with her future career.

Alexandria (Allie) Ahwee-Marrah is a junior from Fredericksburg, Virginia. She is pursuing a degree in Accounting and Information Systems and Business Information Technology. She is planning on taking the CPA exams after graduating in May 2021. In her free time, she enjoys participating in the marching band color guard, making crafts, and working on community service projects and live up to the Virginia Tech motto of “Ut Prosim.” Not only does Alexandria strive for excellence in her school work, but she also maintains a job at the Deet’s Dining Hall.
Karl Bandlow, a junior at Virginia Tech, is from Doylestown, PA and pursuing a degree in Accounting with minors in Professional Sales and Digital Marketing. Karl is also an Eagle Scout and owner of a small business, JKB Scout Cleaning, where he hires fellow scouts on the trail to Eagle. During his Freshman year, Karl participated in Deloitte’s E3 program. He is an active member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and helped his Fraternity raise over $200,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Karl enjoys spending his free time being active outdoors and is a massive Chelsea FC supporter.
TJ Cosby is a junior at Virginia Tech working towards receiving two Bachelors degrees; one in Finance- CFP®, and also one in Management- EIT by December of 2020. He is actively involved on campus holding various leadership positions including; Treasurer for the Pamplin Multicultural Diversity Council, University Innovation Fellow through Stanford’s d.school, and a prior PLA member in the 18-19 cohort. Upon graduation, TJ aspires to acquire his CFP® credentials, and pursue a career in personal financial planning. TJ learned valuable skills through his experience in PLA which helped him launch his start up company that he is currently managing.
Ashley Cruz is a Junior from Woodbridge, Virginia pursuing a dual degree in Business Information Technology and Finance. Ashley is secretary of L.A.S.O (Latino Association of Student Organizations) in which she is passionate about supporting the issues and concerns of the Latino community at Virginia Tech. She also serves as secretary for the A.L.P.F.A chapter (Association of Latino Professionals for America) and is a Pamplin International Ambassador. In her free time, she loves traveling and taking pictures. Ashley is very excited to return with the academy as a peer mentor as she saw this program as an excellent resource for growth with her peers.
